To enter, all you have to do is make a guess about what the picture is. It's more fun if you don't read everybody's guesses until after you make yours. Besides, they might be wrong. Besides again, you will be entered in the drawing whether you're right or wrong. The guessing is just for fun.
I can't decide whether this mystery picture is too easy or not. I guess we'll see. I'll post another mystery picture on Wednesday and if you guess on that one too then you'll have an extra entry in the giveaway. I'll announce the winner on next Sunday's post (August 3). The contest is open to U.S.A. and Canada only and you must be 18 to enter. Please leave a way to contact you. If you're a Facebook friend who has liked my Facebook page, I can contact you that way if you tell me your FB name. Otherwise I'll need your e-mail contact. You can guess without leaving contact info, but you can't win the books. Finally, if you can't get the comment to go here (I've heard some of you say you have problems commenting on my posts), then you can send me a message on my Facebook page or send me a direct e-mail at annhgabhart(at)yahoo(dot)com. The Revell sponsored giveaway of 5 copies of Love Comes Home is still going on at the Book Fun Network. All you have to do to enter is answer one of my questions. And if you'd like to know more about the inspiration behind my Rosey Corner books, you can check out my guest post on Finding Hope Through Fiction.
Also, if you haven't downloaded Scent of Lilacs, it's still free and getting new reviews on Amazon and other sites almost daily. If you've read it and enjoyed the story, let your reading friends know that they can get it for free on their e-readers.
Last, I do so appreciate every one of you. I appreciate your kind words and all your prayers for Mom while she was ill and for me and my family after she took off for heaven. I dreamed about Mom last night. She was still sick, but she knew me. I think in her heart, she always did. The dementia just blocked it from rising to her conscious thinking.
Thanks for reading and I'll look forward to your guesses. If you all get this one right, I'll try to come up with something harder on Wednesday. :)
I am sure this is way off base but it is fun just the same. I am guessing a picture of a polar bear under water.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your great giveaways Ann, and thank you for the opportunity. I hope you have a great week! Mel
mauback55 at gmail dot com
Thanks for guessing, Melanie. You could be right or you could be wrong. You'll find out on Sunday. But either way, you're entered in the drawing. Thanks for including your contact info.
DeleteI think that definitely looks like a polar bear swimming underwater. We've spent hours watching at the zoo since the polar bear is my son's favorite animal. I love these mystery pics!
ReplyDeletethimbleluvr at hotmail dot com
Thanks for joining in the mystery pic fun, Amy. I'll reveal the rest of the picture on Wednesday and have a new mystery photo then.
DeleteHi Ann,
ReplyDeleteI am going to guess a Polar Bear! I love these bears.
oh.hello.hiya@gmail.com
Good to guess something you love, Danie. Come back Wednesday to see if you were right.
DeleteI also think it looks like it is a polar bear swimming under water.
ReplyDeletesreaohinangel7(at)aol(dot)com
The majority may or may not be right, Juanita. But glad you dropped by to guess.
DeletePolar bear underwater.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your guess. We'll see who was right on Wednesday when you can guess on another mystery photo. What I'm going to use is a mystery to me right now. :)
DeleteA cloud?
ReplyDeleteAt last, somebody guessed something besides a bear, Carlton. We'll see on Wednesday who's right. But you didn't leave contact info. Is this the Carlton I know?
DeleteA polar bear swimming underwater. joanninmh@embarqmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks for your guess, Joann. Your name is in the drawing. Come back Wednesday to guess on a new picture and get another entry.
DeleteThe picture looks like an animal swimming under water - I'm guessing a Polar Bear. You can find me on FB under Elaine Rogers Jordan or my e-mail is rejordan79@msn.com Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThank, Elaine, for your guess and for your contact info. I've got you entered. You can get a second entry by guessing on a new mystery photo on Wednesday.
Deletean underwater shot of a polar bear ~ right next to my favorite otters, but not the same pool! Kathleen ~ Lane Hill House lanehillhouse[at]centurylink[dot]net
ReplyDeleteDon't think the otters would want to be in the polar bear pools, Kathleen. Thanks for coming by with a guess. You can see the rest of the photo on Wednesday and have a chance for another entry with a new mystery photo to guess.
DeleteEveryone is saying polar bear but I think it's a dog swimming underwater...can't be Oscar, he is black. Love these mystery photos! I do agree that your mom knew you in her heart, that awful disease just prevented the thoughts from reaching where they needed to go! Blessings..Linda
ReplyDeletedmcfarl101(at)juno(dot)com
Definitely not Oscar. You got that right, Linda. I did take a great picture of him last night, but you would all guess him right away. Glad you enjoy my mystery photos. Check back Wednesday to see if you guess right and to guess on a new mystery photo.
DeleteI also think it looks like it is a polar bear swimming under water. But again it might be a white dog with his head under water
ReplyDeleteShirley Blanchard jcisforme@aol.com
It might or it might not, hmm, Shirley. Glad you dropped by with your guess. Come back late Wednesday or Thursday to see the next picture to guess.
DeleteI really can't tell what this is but my guess is a polar bear with snow covering it's face.
ReplyDeleteA polar bear wouldn't mind snow in his face. That's for sure, Donna. You'll have to wait until Wednesday to see if you are right. And you can guess on another picture and get another entry in the drawing. Can I contact you on FB?
DeleteNow that's a white dog getting hit in the face with a snowball ! That's my story and I'm sticking to it ! :D
ReplyDeleteLove your guess, anonymous, but don't love that you didn't give me a way to contact if you wanted to throw your name in the drawing for the books. Come back and tell me or leave the info in a message on my Facebook page. www.facebook.com/anngabhart
DeleteMy goodness, I can't believe I did that ! Faye Simer .. xstitchgranny2000@yahoo.com
DeleteThanks for coming back, Faye. Now if your name rises to the top of my drawing hat, I'll be able to find you. :)
DeleteI think it is a white dog shaking water off his/her head.
ReplyDeleteI think everybody is in agreement that whatever it is, it's white. Thanks for dropping by with your guess, Annette. The rest of the picture will be revealed on Wednesday and a new mystery photo posted.
DeleteA polar bear under water! Thanks for keeping us entertained Ann!
ReplyDeleteRW620(at)aol(dot)com
Glad you like the mystery photos, RW1010. I'm trying to make them hard but some of you are just too smart. Not saying which ones of you though. :) Not till Wednesday.
DeleteOh what fun! My first thought when I saw the picture was that it is a dog shaking his head
ReplyDeleteCampbellamyd at gmail dot com
Thanks for dropping by to take a stab at my guessing game. You can see the rest of the picture tomorrow, Wednesday, and I'm going to try to come up with something really, really hard to guess. We'll see. :)
DeletePretty sure it's a polar bear swimming under the water! Thanks for the contest.
ReplyDeletesharon wileygreen1(at)yahoo(dot)com
Thanks for guessing, Sharon. You can see if you're right tomorrow, Wednesday, and guess on a new picture for another entry in my giveaway.
DeleteA dog under water??? I'm probably embarrassingly wrong on this guess.-- Lisa Shirley Bragg
ReplyDeleteAny guess is a good guess, Lisa. And who knows, you might be amazingly right instead of embarrassingly wrong. No need to think about being embarrassed either way. We're just having fun. Check out the rest of the picture on Wednesday's post.
DeleteMy first guess was a polar bear, but I am really thinking it is a dog under water. I am never good with things like this. Hope you have a good day.
ReplyDeleteI'm no good at guessing this sort of thing either, Belinda, but I always think it's fun. Glad you dropped by to guess. I'm about to post the rest of the photo in a few minutes.
DeleteI think it looks like a fish that had its face chomped off at the top. Sad but true.
ReplyDeleteKathy Dobyns at Facebook (katdobyns@att.net)
Poor fish. You might be closer than you think, Kathy. :) Come back in the morning and see the rest of the photo and guess on the new one.
DeleteMy first guess is a white dog that is shaking off his water poss from being underwarer but then if I looked at the others they are saying a polar bear which is i'd say right ...but it can't be a flower nor a grandchild and I so want to win this for the book of yours so I m going to stick with what I see when I look at the picture oh gosh
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteIt's definitely not a flower or a grandkid, but then wait until you see the "rest of the photo" and then maybe it won't be quite so definite, Peggy. And you played by the rules. The guess doesn't have to be right, just made. Good luck in the drawing. And thanks for checking out the giveaway at the Book Fun Network too.
DeleteMy answer is going to seem weird, but the first and only thing I could imagine was an underwater photo of a dog's head as he's just jumped under water. Now, stop laughing all you who see this crazy answer! Thanks for opportunity to win a book, Ann!
ReplyDeletePart of the fun is laughing at our crazy answers, but I wasn't sneaky enough with this photo. Most of you are laughing at me, Nancee. But it was fun. Now for photo 2.
DeleteAnn, I forgot to leave my email address!
ReplyDeletequiltcat26[at]sbcglobal[dot]net
Thanks, Nancee. I could have probably tracked you down. Don't know many Nancees, but this way is easier.
DeleteHow fun! I am going to guess a polar bear. Thank you for the chance to be a winner!
ReplyDeletetexaggs2000 at gmail dot com
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a guess, Britney. Are you ready for picture 2?
DeleteHmmm, I'm not so sure it's water. But it looked like an animal face. But too blurry for me to say for sure. It could be a face full of snow too. :)
ReplyDeletelattebooks at hotmail dot com
Yeah, the photos are a little blurry when I pull up a bit of them like I do. Sorry about that, Susan, but glad you made a guess. That got you in the drawing. Now you can guess on photo 2 later to have another entry.
